They have elegantly decorated hand-hewn log cabins, delicious foods of amazing quality, a great combination of sense of place, serenity, staff competence and hospitality. This is the place, romantic old mining town, where tranquility and breathtaking lung torturing adventures take place at the same time. The accommodations are all beautiful, unique, and incredibly comfortable. The old village Dance Hall, Bath House and Saloon are part of this unique retreat, where soothing springs, majestic mountains and a winding river make up the great outdoors.
Cabins
Well House Cabin
Well House Cabin is about 25 x 12 feet inside. It has four windows. This wooden cabin in beautifully designed and decorated. It has French doors leading to a small porch with two wicker-loom chairs, king size bed and attached bath with shower.
Echo Cabin
Small but comfortable. If you are not comfortable being so close to nature while bathing, you can use the steam shower in the bathhouse. Queen bed in Echo is comfortable, and you can request for extra pillows.
Vertical Log Cabin
Vertical Log, a spacious LUXURY cabin with beautiful vintage bath tub, is one of best cabins in Dunton. Located next to the Chapel and a waterfall, Vertical Log is just like a dream cottage with a master bedroom, one additional bedroom and a loft with two beds. Both the bed rooms are furnished with exquisite antiques, a sensational view of town and the mountains.
There are some more cabins. All these cabins are hand-built and, in some cases, by the original miners themselves. They are all extremely well built and care as been taken to make each one unique. All these cabins are kept immaculately clean by the attentive staff, and with beautiful views of the surrounding forest and mountains.
Yoga & Pilates
Promoting the authentic spiritual tradition in an environment, Dunton is a rustic, all-inclusive, rural and amazing place to practice yoga. Guests can learn and practice different types of Yoga. Some yoga traditions focus on for physical strength, while some others on balance and flexibility.
We know all the yogic traditions have spiritual roots and Dunton has the perfect setting for a transformational yogic journey. Whatever your personal goals may be, a Yoga or Pilates session at Dunton promises to be an exciting, elevating and a life changing experience. One hour private sessions are $145 for an individual or $190 for a couple.

They have gentle and well trained horses for high mountain rides, world class fly fishing on an exclusive nine-mile stretch of the West Fork of the Dolores. Exciting and mountain bike trails, from easy to heart pounding. They have expert guides to help you summit the 14,000ft peaks or take you rock climbing in the surrounding San Juan peaks.
