Mii amo is a small, all-inclusive destination spa in Boynton Canyon, Sedona, Arizona, with around two dozen casitas and suites. It's best for adults who want a quiet, guided reset built around spa treatments, red-rock hikes, consultations and good food.

What it's like

Mii amo sits deep in Boynton Canyon, a few miles outside Sedona, surrounded by the red cliffs the area is famous for. It's been running since 2001 and has stayed small on purpose: roughly 23 casitas and suites set around a courtyard shaded by cottonwood trees. Every room has a fireplace, heated bathroom floors and its own outdoor space, and the suites add a living area and private courtyard.

The canyon is known locally as one of Sedona's vortex sites, and Mii amo leans into that sense of place with intention-setting, meditation and plenty of time outdoors. The mood is relaxed. There's no dress code, and many guests wear their robe to dinner.

Forbes Travel Guide's inspectors named it among their standout spa experiences of 2025.

The programs

You book Mii amo as a Journey, an all-inclusive stay with fixed lengths and arrival days:

  • 2 nights (when available), arriving Sunday or Tuesday
  • 3 nights, arriving Thursday
  • 4 nights, arriving Sunday
  • 7 nights, arriving Thursday or Sunday
  • 10 nights, arriving Thursday

Each Journey includes your room, three meals a day, juice bar drinks, consultations, talks, specialty programming and fitness classes. You also get a daily credit you can spend on spa services, guided outdoor activities at the Trail House or classes at the Artist Cottage. Taxes, fees and gratuities on what's included are covered too, which makes the stay easy to relax into.

The spa has a steam room, sauna, crystal grotto, relaxation lounge, plunge pool and movement studio. Beyond treatments, there's a Wellbeing Pathways series, guided meditations and personal coaching.

Food

Meals are served at Hummingbird, the main restaurant, which cooks with produce from its own Chef's Garden and from farms, ranches and orchards nearby. The juice bar does fresh juices, smoothies, coffee and tea by day and turns into a bar with wine in the evening. You can also eat by the pool or in your casita.

Who it suits (and who it doesn't)

Mii amo suits adults who want a calm, well-organized stay where most decisions are made for you, from solo travelers to couples and friends. It's a good pick if you want to hike in the canyon in the morning and spend the afternoon in the spa.

It's not for families with younger children, since guests must be 16 or older. And because Journeys have set lengths and arrival days, it's less flexible than a regular hotel if you want to drop in for one night.

Getting there

The closest airport is tiny Sedona Airport, about 20 minutes away, which handles private and charter flights. For commercial flights, Flagstaff Pulliam is about an hour north, Prescott Regional is about an hour and a quarter southwest and Phoenix Sky Harbor is about two hours south. Most people rent a car or arrange a transfer for the scenic drive in.
