RXV Wellness Village is an integrative wellness resort inside the organic Suan Sampran estate, on the Tha Chin River about 45 km west of Bangkok. It suits people who want short, focused programs mixing Thai medicine and modern health science, including families.
What it's like
RXV sits inside Suan Sampran, a long-established eco-cultural estate on the banks of the Tha Chin River in Nakhon Pathom province. The estate dates back to 1961, when it was founded by Dr. Chamnan Yuvaboon, the first governor of Bangkok, and his wife, Khunying Valee. Today it's known for century-old trees, certified organic gardens and a calm riverside feel that's a world away from the city, even though Bangkok is only about 45 km off.
RXV is the younger sister of RAKxa, a well-known integrative wellness retreat, and it's described as a modern wellness village for everyone. That means the tone is approachable rather than clinical, and families are welcome. The World Spa Awards named it Thailand's best wellness retreat in 2025.
There are 79 rooms in a range of styles. Superior rooms look over the river or the pool, upper-floor rooms have wide river views, Deluxe corner rooms can connect for families, and the suites add a living room and a big terrace.
The programs
RXV's approach brings together traditional and modern care, organized into three areas:
- Wellness Jai covers traditional Thai medicine, energy healing, art therapy, naturopathy and spa treatments, led by holistic doctors and wellness specialists.
- Wellness Gaya is where physical therapists and sports scientists work on balance, movement and brain function.
- Wellness Clinic uses modern technology to give you a clearer picture of your health.
Programs are short and focused. The Wellness Getaway starts at a single night. Three-night programs cover Detox, Destress, Mindfulness, Physical Rebalance, Beauty, or a Personalised plan, and there's a three-night Wellness Foundation program designed for children. Bookings start with a conversation with the team, who tailor the plan to you.
The hydrotherapy area, called Bor Naam, has a vitality pool, oxygen and soda baths, a cold pool, an infrared sauna, a steam room and an experience shower. There's also a riverside pavilion and plenty of garden space to wander.
Food
Food is treated as part of the program. The kitchen cooks healthy Thai fusion dishes using ingredients sourced from Patom Organic farm and its network of farmers, so a lot of what you eat is grown close by.
Who it suits (and who it doesn't)
RXV is a good pick if you're in Bangkok and want a short, serious reset without a long journey. It also works for families, since there's a dedicated kids' program and connecting rooms.
If you're looking for a long, remote retreat or a strict silent experience, this isn't it. It.s a short-stay village by design, set within a larger estate.
Getting there
RXV is at 88 Moo 2, Yaicha, Sam Phran District, Nakhon Pathom, about 45 km from central Bangkok. Most travelers fly into one of Bangkok's international airports and transfer by road. The resort's team can help with directions.
