Yoga, Pilates & Surf Specific Conditioning

The yoga-pilates-surf combination is a great way to prepare for surfing. The physical benefits of yoga also complement the flexibility and power needed to have maximum fun and prevent injuries when surfing. Yoga helps you warm up, increases flexibility and enhances your joints’ range of movement improving overall surfing ability and reducing risk of injury. Workouts don’t have to be a grind to benefit your surf fitness. Surf Specific Conditioning  improves explosive leg strength, core strength (back and abs) for stability while you are on the board and muscular endurance for stamina to get you through a hard day of surfing.

Surfbodysoul Beginner Program

Surf-Fitness is all about building a stronger body so you can do what makes you happy in life, and do it better surfing. The Beginner program is a fitness program inspired by the sport of Surfing.  In The Beginner program, all exercises are intended to help your body become more effective at carrying out all the movements undertaken whilst surfing.

Surfbodysoul Intermediate Program

Intermediate Improver level surfer able to negotiate the lineup, catch and ride a variety of different waves in varying conditions. At this level one can start to take more control of surfing, and really strive to achieve success in every session. The intermediate program is going to help strengthen your entire body as well as help you improve your flexibility. The intermediate program incorporates dynamic, progressive and challenging Yoga, Pilates and Surf Specific exercises to your program.The intermediate program is designed for surfers who have completed the ‘surfbodysoul‘ Beginner program or a related Yoga, Pilates or Stretching program twice or more per week for a period of 8+ weeks. It is recommended that you complete this program a minimum of 2 times per week for great results and 3-5 times per week for excellent results.

Surfbodysoul Advanced Program

Through The Advanced program you can enhance your surf fitness and become a very powerful surfer. Surf health is a very important aspect of successful long term surfing. Maintaining surfing fitness when there are no waves is important to return in full condition. The Advanced program progresses from the Intermediate one to provide highly challenging Yoga, Pilates and surf specific exercises. Surf Body Soul offers a surf specific training facility to cater for higher fitness levels and surfing abilities.The Advanced program is specifically designed for surfers who have completed the ‘surfbodysoul‘ Intermediate program twice or more per week for a period of 8+ weeks. It is recommended that you complete this program a minimum of 2 times per week for great results and 3-5 times per week for excellent results.
