People in a yoga classVia Yoga is the place for the people who want to escape their hectic lifestyle. In Via Yoga you will get the opportunity to be relaxed and refreshed. This retreat offers many types of activities including Yoga, Surfing, Pilates and many other new things. Via Yoga retreat center was founded in 2002.

Owner and Co-founder:

Suzie Cavassa is the owner of Via Yoga who spend a week on a Yoga and Surf Retreat in Costa Rica with her sister Mimi and this amazing retreat makes her view towards life totally changed and in 2009 when she got the opportunity to join the Via Yoga Team she took it pleasantly. When Kelly Kemp and Michelle Gantz were ready to pass the torch in 2011,  Suzie happily embraced carrying the Via Yoga experience forward. According to Michelle and Kelly the reason behind the success of Via Yoga is that the people who visit the retreat center their life becomes changed.

Yoga and surf instructors:

You will meet one of the very first Via Yoga instructors, Andrea. Since the inception of Via Yoga, Andrea has led retreats. She not only teaches yoga but also surfing. Andrea has surfed, traveled, taught and studied internationally.

Israel Preciado senior surf instructor is the senior surf instructor of Via Yoga. Currently he is working at the Four Seasons Resort as a surf instructor.

You will also meet other experienced surf instructor Murilo Evangelista dos Santos, Kate Slater, Isidro Rodriguez and Caroline Murray.

Surfing:

Surfing is all about yoga on the water and it is fun. The time you will spend in Via Yoga you will be able to join a yoga class every morning  and to paddle out and pop up on your board. Surfing will teach you to be more focused and concentrated, and to be connected to nature. Surfing will also make your body stronger, increase your muscle tone, make your mind quiet and make you feel fully alive. Your self awareness also will be improved.

Accommodation:

In Nosara, on the Pacific Coast, Costa Rica, the retreat is held at Harmony Hotel which  is ideally situated, just a few minutes stroll along a footpath passing through a nature reserve to the beach. This hotel is a 24-room boutique hotel. In Costa Rica Harmony is one of the greenest operated hotel.

Along Mexico’s Pacific Coast Villa Amor  is the best-kept secret.
